Real Job Offers

I've previously mentioned APPLY EVERYWHERE. With that in mind, you'll probably have several awkward situations where you are wondering:

Do I actually have the job?

If you want to know if a job offer is real, ask yourself this ONE question:

Has the company provided me with an offer letter detailing my salary and additional compensation that I must also return to them signed?

If the answer is no, then it is not (yet?) a real job offer. Be wary of job offers made only over the phone or in person or because your friend knows special person at special startup. Wait until you have that attached PDF and are being asked to submit paperwork.  It'll save you from getting burned.
